CSPIC JOINS THE MINGLANILLA COASTAL CLEAN-UP 3

Cebu South Port volunteers participated in the Minglanilla Coastal Clean-Up last February 9, 2020, early morning Sunday. The Clean-Up is an annual project of the Local Government of Minglanilla and the coastal Barangays of Tungkop, Tulay, Calajoan, and Tungkil with the participation of several companies, schools, organizations, and citizens in the vicinity.

 

An estimateof 4.3 kilometers of coastline was cleaned-up through this activity – all achieved from the spirit of volunteerism and love for the environment from around 500 volunteers.

 

Volunteers were assigned in 10 pick-up stations to be cleaned: Sherlock Beach Tungkop, Sitio Bantayan Tungkop, Hesperanian Tungkop, Nazareth Tungkop, Villa San Pedro Tulay, Barangay Hall Calajoan, Monfort Calajoan, Ramchel Area Calajoan, Sitio Jasmine Tungkil, and La Playa Tungkil.

 

Cebu South Port is located in Barangay Tulay and is stationed at Villa San Pedro Tulay together with the other schools, the Barangay Tulay officials and other organizations whose location is nearby. With this, there are sixteen (16) volunteer personnel representing the port to join and clean-up the coastline near the amenities and the admin building of CSPIC.The team who joined this event were security guards, the safety officer, the occupational health nurse, the CSPIC admin, the supervisor and the vessel coordinator.
